DeepSource is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a full-time, remote client engagement based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on ensuring infrastructure reliability and automation within a complex hybrid, multi-cloud environment.

Role Overview

The Senior Cloud Engineer will operate as a hands-on, operations-focused professional. The position requires ownership of critical infrastructure components and the implementation of robust automation practices to maintain high availability and performance across diverse cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation workflows to support development and release cycles.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, utilizing tools such as Terraform, for provisioning and configuration management across various cloud environments.
• Manage device and endpoint policies through Microsoft Intune, encompassing compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and security across cloud and endpoint layers, responding to incidents and performing root cause analysis.
• Support cloud cost optimization, resource governance, and the implementation of tagging and organization standards across GCP and AWS.
• Collaborate with the client's internal IT, security, and DevOps teams to ensure infrastructure operations align with broader organizational policies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call and operational support rotations as required by the client.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a cloud engineering or similar operations-focused role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune for device and endpoint policy management.
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization, resource governance, and tagging standards across GCP and AWS.
• Strong problem-solving skills for incident response and root cause analysis.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, remote position supporting a client engagement in Saudi Arabia. The role involves close collaboration with various client teams, including IT, security, and DevOps, to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.
