About the Role

MUAF is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for managing the end-to-end production costing within our uniform manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of cost data, which is essential for informed commercial and operational decision-making.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for the comprehensive costing process, from raw materials to finished garments. This includes developing and maintaining standard costing structures and performing detailed cost analysis. The insights generated from this role directly support competitive pricing strategies and contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of the manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain standard costing structures per product based on Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Calculate unit costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead allocation.
• Perform cost variance analysis (actual vs. standard) and present findings with corrective recommendations.
• Monitor fabric and material waste percentages and their financial impact.
• Conduct periodic inventory valuation and reconcile data with the ERP system.
• Support competitive pricing for government and private contracts through precise cost analysis.
• Prepare monthly production cost reports linked to financial statements.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure data accuracy in SAP.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–8 years of industrial or manufacturing cost accounting experience, with clear exposure to a production environment.
• Prior experience in textile, garment, or apparel manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills and Certifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP (CO/Controlling or Product Costing module).
• Strong ability to translate BOM structures into actual cost analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.
• CMA certification is considered a strong plus.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active collaboration with various operational teams within the manufacturing facility.
