Role Contribution

The Senior Cost Manager will play a central role in overseeing comprehensive cost estimation processes, managing project budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position requires a professional with a proven background in project cost management within the construction or project management industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of cost management strategies across various projects.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts tailored to project requirements.
• Monitor project financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze complex cost data and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to facilitate effective cost control.
• Oversee the procurement process, including contract evaluation and negotiation of terms and prices with suppliers.
• Manage and mentor junior cost management staff, providing guidance and support.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and cost estimation methodologies to ensure best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in cost management.
• A minimum of 5 years in a senior role within the construction or project management industry.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Strong proficiency in project cost control and estimation software.
• In-depth knowledge of contract management and negotiation.
