About the Role

Ninja, a quick-commerce company focused on dark stores in the MENA region, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves designing and implementing the infrastructure and tools essential for the smooth operation and scalability of our systems.

Role Purpose

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring our systems operate with high availability, scalability, security, and performance. This position requires a commitment to industry best practices and continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and automation tools in line with industry best practices.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Optimize systems for high availability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and maintain cloud-based services and architectures across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Stay informed on industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance infrastructure.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a related role.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with on-premise and bare metal servers.
• Proficiency in working with Linux servers; experience with MS Windows Server is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Prior experience in setting up and maintaining services including Relational DBs, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Github Actions or CircleCI.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
