The Role: Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join its project team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, on-site role involves the direct execution, coordination, and delivery of all electrical works for a landmark high-rise development. The successful candidate will ensure installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with approved designs, project specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Main Contractor's/Developer's site engineer, taking full responsibility for direct execution, resourcing, and delivery of electrical works.
• Supervise and execute the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-current, and BMS, according to approved designs.
• Coordinate electrical work sequencing with civil, mechanical, and architectural site activities.
• Implement approved shop drawings and ensure site works align with the BIM-coordinated model.
• Conduct and record formal site work inspections at each stage of electrical installation (containment, first fix, second fix, testing) prior to sign-off and progression.
• Manage direct labor crews and/or subcontractors performing electrical works, verifying progress and material compliance.
• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs and measurement of executed electrical works for interim payment certificates and variation/change order evaluation.
• Coordinate directly with the Technical Team and design consultants on RFIs and site queries affecting electrical works.
• Coordinate with SEC and relevant authorities for utility connections in the Riyadh region.
• Supervise and mentor Junior Electrical Engineers assigned to respective work fronts.
• Support testing and commissioning activities and witness inspections with the consultant/client.
• Maintain inspection and test records and support quality/safety compliance for electrical works.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering and construction, with proven experience in high-rise tower projects.
• Strong background in building electrical systems, power distribution, low-current systems, fire alarm systems, BMS, and testing & commissioning.
• Previous experience with leading developers or Tier-1 contractors is highly desirable.
• PMP certification and additional certifications in electrical systems, testing and commissioning, or BIM are advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in high-rise building electrical systems, power distribution, low-current systems, fire alarm systems, and BMS.
• Expertise in shop drawing implementation, BIM coordination, quantity take-off, and testing & commissioning.
• Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and SEC standards.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on a landmark high-rise development. The role requires managing subcontractors, direct labor, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout all phases of construction, testing, and commissioning.
