About the Senior Manager, Fraud Risk Assessment Role

OVI is searching on behalf of its client, a leading Saudi bank, for an experienced Senior Manager, Fraud Risk Assessment. This contract position is based on-site in Riyadh and is integral to a major transformation program within the bank. Reporting directly to the Programme Director, the Senior Manager will lead the fraud risk assessment workstream, managing the assessment process, leading project teams, and identifying critical fraud risks and control weaknesses across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver comprehensive Fraud Risk Assessments across various banking functions and business units.
• Facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders, including business, risk, fraud, and operational teams.
• Identify and assess fraud risks across products, processes, channels, and business units.
• Review the design and evaluate the effectiveness of existing fraud controls.
• Identify control gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop practical remediation actions and recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
• Produce detailed assessment reports, risk documentation, and presentations for senior management.
• Support the bank’s regulatory compliance and remediation activities related to fraud risk.
• Manage project teams and individual assessment workstreams effectively.
• Provide weekly progress updates to the client and the Programme Director.
• Ensure that all assessments are completed within the required regulatory timeframe.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 10–15+ years of experience in fraud risk, financial crime, banking risk, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated previous experience working with Saudi banks.
• Strong understanding of SAMA regulations and regulatory expectations.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise or business-level Fraud Risk Assessments.
• Experience in identifying fraud risks and evaluating fraud control environments.
• Previous consulting, transformation, or regulatory remediation experience.
• A professional certification such as CFE, CAMS, CIA, or CRMA is preferred.
• Experience in a consulting environment is also preferred.

• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Proven experience managing project teams and workstreams.
• Robust background in fraud risk assessment and deep understanding of the Saudi banking sector.

Work Environment and Engagement Details

This is a contract engagement requiring the successful candidate to work on-site in Riyadh for the full duration of the project. The ideal candidate will be available to commence the role within two to four weeks of an offer.
