About the Senior Manager Sales Role
Tata Communications Transformation Services (TCTS) is seeking a Senior Manager Sales to drive business growth within the telecom sector in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a seasoned sales leader with over 10 years of experience, focusing on Telecom SI services and strategic customer engagement.
Sales and Business Development Responsibilities
The Senior Manager Sales will be responsible for achieving revenue growth for TCTS services, including network integration, deployment, managed services, and transformation programs. This involves owning the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from lead identification and qualification to solutioning, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure. Key activities include building and executing account strategies for major telecom operators and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts through mining and cross-sell/up-sell initiatives.
Customer Engagement and Commercial Ownership
Maintaining strong CXO-level relationships with telecom operators, MVNOs, and strategic partners in the region is crucial. The role acts as the primary interface between customers and internal stakeholders, representing the organization in customer meetings, RFP discussions, and negotiations. This position also entails leading commercial modeling, including pricing strategies, cost structures, margin analysis, and business cases, while ensuring deal profitability and adherence to financial governance. Support for RFP/tender responses with commercial inputs and risk assessment, alongside contract negotiation collaboration with legal and finance teams, are also key components.
Team Leadership and Market Strategy
This role involves leading, mentoring, and managing regional sales teams to ensure target achievement and capability development. Setting clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team is essential. Close collaboration with pre-sales, solution engineering, delivery, SCM, and finance teams is required for seamless deal execution. The Senior Manager Sales will also provide market feedback to internal teams to support service enhancement and portfolio evolution, and contribute to regional go-to-market strategies and annual operating plans, while tracking market trends in telecom networks, system integration, 4G/5G, cloud, and managed services.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred. The role requires 12-18+ years of experience in telecom sales or system integration sales, with significant exposure to operator accounts. A proven track record of closing large, complex telecom SI deals is essential. Prior experience working in sales or selling telecom SI service portfolios is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Competencies
Key skills include a strong understanding of Telecom System Integration services (Network Integration, Deployment, Managed Services, Transformation), proven expertise in sales lifecycle management for complex telecom solutions, and excellent commercial modeling and financial analysis skills. Strong customer relationship management, negotiation capabilities, and experience managing large, multi-country operator accounts are also required. Leadership skills with the ability to manage and scale sales teams, along with strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, are essential for success in this role.
