About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Road Engineer (Design) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to leading technical reviews of roadway plans, calculations, and construction cost estimates. The role involves contributing significantly to the development of design criteria, providing technical support in stakeholder engagements, and applying advanced roadway design principles and practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality project solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive technical reviews of roadway plans, calculations, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
• Prepare and maintain comment resolution sheets, ensuring effective tracking and disposition.
• Attend meetings with designers and clients to verify that project requirements and appropriate design criteria are consistently met, fostering collaborative design development.
• Engage with various stakeholders to clearly explain the technical aspects of projects.
• Participate in meetings with regulatory authorities to facilitate the acquisition of necessary project permits.
• Contribute actively to value engineering workshops.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate the suitability of proposed designs in relation to specific project sites.
• Liaise with designers to communicate technical comments and work towards their effective resolution.
• Execute other responsibilities associated with this position as deemed appropriate.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in road design and engineering.
• Proven capability in conducting detailed technical reviews of roadway design documentation, including plans, calculations, and specifications.
• Strong understanding and application of advanced roadway design principles and industry best practices.
• Experience in coordinating with various project stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This role operates within a collaborative environment, requiring regular interaction with internal teams, external designers, clients, and regulatory authorities. The position involves both office-based work in Riyadh and necessary site visits to project locations.
