About the Role at Mina Excellence

Mina Excellence is seeking an experienced Senior SOC Analyst to join its Cybersecurity Operations Center (SOC) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats. The role also involves mentoring junior analysts and enhancing detection capabilities within the SOC.

Role Overview

The Senior SOC Analyst will be responsible for leading incident investigations and performing proactive threat hunting. This position requires significant hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, and threat hunting to effectively safeguard the organization's digital assets. The analyst will contribute to the continuous improvement of security controls and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM and other security monitoring platforms.
• Investigate security incidents and coordinate response activities.
• Lead incident investigations and conduct root cause analysis.
• Perform proactive threat hunting and malware analysis.
• Develop and optimize SIEM detection rules and use cases.
• Review and improve SOC playbooks and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior SOC analysts and support knowledge sharing initiatives.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to enhance existing security controls.
• Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a security operations role.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of incident response, threat hunting, endpoint security, and network security.
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and threat intelligence concepts.
• Professional certifications such as CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, SC-200, CEH, or CISSP are preferred.
