The Role of Security Operations Center Analyst

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst plays a critical full-time role within Circlys App's security operations. This position serves as the first line of defense and contributes significantly to advanced threat detection and incident response efforts. The analyst is responsible for continuous monitoring, investigation, and coordination of response activities to ensure the security and resilience of Circlys App's digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events utilizing SIEM and EDR platforms to detect and respond to potential threats.
• Perform investigation and response activities to ensure timely containment and remediation of security incidents.
• Develop and optimize detection rules, use cases, and incident response playbooks to enhance security posture.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to maintain system security and incident readiness across the organization.
• Conduct proactive threat analysis and maintain accurate documentation and reports on security operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in SOC operations or IT security monitoring.
• Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) platforms.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, incident handling processes, and detection frameworks.

Skills and Certifications

• Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIH, or CEH are preferred.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic fintech environment where security is a core operational principle. The role involves working as part of a dedicated security operations team.
