About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced and motivated technologists to join its KSA Solution Architecture team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a minimum of 10 years of experience. The role focuses on assisting digitally native customers in shaping their cloud strategies and accelerating the adoption of AWS services.

Role Overview

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will work closely with sales teams to drive revenue growth and adoption of AWS services among a portfolio of digitally native customers. You will act as a trusted customer advocate, providing guidance on best practices for cloud-based solutions and assisting with workload migration to the AWS cloud. The role involves developing and executing strategies to increase the awareness and usage of AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to ensure the successful building and migration of applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue objectives through AWS adoption.
• Manage the overall technical relationship with customers, providing recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and engage in deep architectural discussions to ensure successful cloud deployments.
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers who are considering or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. A critical aspect of this role is the ability to connect technology solutions with measurable business value. Strategic thinking regarding business, products, and technical challenges is essential. The role requires a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions, with prior experience as a systems engineer or architect being beneficial. Continuous development of technical skills is expected to contribute effectively to architectural discussions and design exercises.
