About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced technologists to join our team in Riyadh. In this full-time role, you will partner with major organizations to design scalable cloud architectures that address business challenges and drive AWS adoption. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on connecting technology solutions to measurable business value.

Role Overview

As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will act as a strategic technical leader, providing architectural guidance and recommendations to promote and accelerate customer adoption of AWS. You will collaborate with account managers to drive growth within key accounts, assisting organizations in understanding best practices for advanced cloud-based solutions and migrating existing workloads. The role involves shaping and executing strategies to build mind-share and broad adoption of AWS services within enterprise customers, requiring strategic thinking regarding business, products, and technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance and recommendations to promote and accelerate customer adoption of AWS.
• Ensure customer and partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications and services on the AWS platform.
• Lead architectural discussions and design exercises to create robust solutions on AWS.
• Educate customers and partners on the value proposition of AWS.
• Build relationships with senior technical individuals within customer and partner organizations.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications, including white papers and blogs.
• Partner with sales and partner teams to execute strategies for AWS and partner solution adoption.
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers using AWS.
• Serve as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps for IT transformations toward cloud computing.
• Experience communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including at the C-level, through various channels like training, workshops, and publications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation.
• Knowledge of large-scale automation and workflow management.
• Knowledge of database design and implementation.
• Experience with presentations and whiteboarding, with comfort speaking to executives, IT management, and developers.
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
• Saudi National.
