About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Startup Investor Manager for National Startup Investor Management across EMEA, based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on identifying and collaborating with promising early-stage startups and venture capital firms. The manager will work to establish AWS as a foundational platform for the next generation of technology companies by accelerating the success of portfolio companies.

AWS Startup Ecosystem Engagement

AWS provides cloud computing capabilities to startups globally, offering founders access to the same technology that powers large enterprises. With nearly two decades of experience supporting hundreds of thousands of startups, the AWS Startups team assists companies at various stages of growth and funding. This support contributes to why a significant number of startups, including over 80% of unicorns, choose AWS for their launch and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Partner-level relationships with venture capital firms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Develop and implement investor-focused programs designed to accelerate the success of portfolio companies.
• Implement solutions that address the specific needs of startups and investors.
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives with AWS Startups, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Monitor the effectiveness of programs and provide feedback based on performance results.
• Collect early-stage market signals from investors and founders to inform AWS innovation and meet evolving company needs.
• Evaluate the technical and business potential of startups by understanding their architecture, technology stack, and market opportunity.
• Serve as an advisor to portfolio companies, assisting them with optimizing their cloud architecture and go-to-market strategies.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a combination of technical depth in cloud and emerging technologies, such as generative AI, strong business acumen, and investment insight. The position requires the ability to identify opportunities and ensure startups have access to necessary tools, expertise, and support to build products on AWS infrastructure.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
