Senior Supply Chain Management Advisor

About the Role

King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Management Advisor. This full-time role involves advising and coordinating contracts, planning, and property control services to optimize costs, improve accuracy, and enhance patient service and safety. The advisor will also focus on improving sourcing activities by analyzing health affairs spending, existing supply partnerships, and new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update supply chain sourcing practices to align with new or changing policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
• Develop efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
• Analyze and calculate procurement costs, and propose methods to reduce expenditure.
• Formulate negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
• Optimize sourcing procedures to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure agreement on terms and processes.
• Research and anticipate shifts in supplier negotiating power.
• Conduct cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Estimate risks and implement risk-minimizing techniques.
• Identify and collaborate with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determine the quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Assist in supporting supplier relationships.
• Review Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
• Oversee price negotiations with suppliers.
• Develop new sourcing methods to facilitate KAAUH’s operations.
• Promote a patient-centered care culture by respecting patients and their families.
• Participate in and support quality improvement and patient safety activities, either individually or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in supply chain management or a related field is required.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and operates on a full-time schedule within King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital.
