WSP is seeking a Senior Technical Director – Property & Buildings to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is a client-facing appointment for a professional with an international background in Property & Buildings, possessing a strong technical foundation in architecture, building structures, or building services. The successful candidate will contribute to landmark projects and collaborate with professionals in the field.

Role Overview

The Senior Technical Director will provide senior oversight for selected projects and client relationships, ensuring confidence in WSP’s services and managing project risks. While the professional foundation will be in one of the three core disciplines (architecture, building structures, or building services), the wider responsibility extends across WSP’s full Property & Buildings offering. This role involves representing combined building engineering design capabilities, leading selected prospects, actively participating in work winning, and remaining directly involved in project delivery within their professional discipline.

Key Duties

• Represent the full scope of WSP’s Property & Buildings capabilities to assigned clients, including core design disciplines and specialist advisory services.
• Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, such as developers, asset owners, government entities, architects, and project managers.
• Act as a senior advisor and escalation point, understanding client priorities and ensuring a coordinated response from WSP across all relevant services.
• Maintain client confidence through clear communication, consistent engagement, and timely resolution of concerns.
• Lead selected prospects from early positioning and capture planning through proposal development, client presentation, negotiation, and project mobilization.
• Actively participate in work winning and the development of integrated solutions.
• Lead the creation of compelling technical approaches, scopes, delivery strategies, and fee proposals.
• Represent WSP at client meetings, industry events, and professional forums to strengthen the company's profile and identify new opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide senior oversight for Property & Buildings services involved in selected projects and priority client engagements.
• Coordinate relevant discipline and specialist leads to ensure WSP’s services are aligned with client objectives.
• Monitor project health, including client confidence, quality, multidisciplinary coordination, scope, program, resources, commercial performance, and risk.
• Identify technical, contractual, commercial, delivery, and relationship risks early, implementing appropriate mitigation or recovery actions.
• Establish clear accountability across disciplines, utilizing appropriate technical authorities for each service.
• Ensure consistent communication with clients and that important decisions, risks, and actions are understood across the project team.
