The Role of Senior Utilities Engineer (Design)

10 Design is seeking a Senior Utilities Engineer (Design) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the design and development of comprehensive utilities systems for complex projects. The successful candidate will ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient project delivery, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to translate project requirements into detailed technical solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop utilities infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing components.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation using industry-standard software and tools.
• Conduct feasibility studies, load calculations, and cost-benefit analyses for utilities systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment and project objectives.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia and internationally.
• Manage design revisions, updates, and documentation control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and validation of design deliverables.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
• Analyze system performance and recommend optimization strategies for efficiency and sustainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in utilities design. The position requires a strong understanding of utilities infrastructure systems and the ability to apply industry standards and regulatory compliance.
