The Role: Software Engineer II Backend

HungerStation is seeking a Software Engineer II - Backend to join its expanding team in Riyadh. This full-time position is open to Saudi Nationals who are prepared to make a direct impact on product development. The role involves close collaboration with the Product Team to understand requirements, provide technical expertise, and assist in the analysis, design, testing, and structuring of solutions to deliver high-quality working software aligned with business needs and standards.

Core Software Development Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of the latest software development methodologies to provide best-in-class software solutions.
• Analyze product requirements to understand engineering needs, estimate efforts, and provide required solutions in collaboration with the Product Team.
• Assist in building development components to accurately transform requirements into functional software.
• Document all coding steps to ensure comprehensibility and facilitate future modifications and maintenance.
• Investigate and resolve software issues and bugs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on code reviews and deliver code review reports accordingly.
• Perform functional and module testing to ensure the functionality of delivered solutions.
• Assist in user trials and acceptance testing.

Operational Adherence and Continuous Improvement

• Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and processes to ensure daily work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of processes, practices, work processes, cost-effectiveness, and productivity enhancement.
• Promote the implementation and adherence to policies, procedures, processes, and instructions among other employees within the organization.
• Manage daily operations relating to the job to ensure work continuity.
• Contribute to preparing timely and accurate reports concerning the line of work to meet requirements, objectives, and standards.
• Ensure the satisfaction of both internal and external customers by addressing their needs in a courteous and timely manner.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate for this full-time position will possess 5 to 10 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer. This role is specifically designated for Saudi Nationals. A strong understanding of software development methodologies and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with product teams are essential for success in this role.
