Role Overview: Software Test Engineer

Technology Track is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position for individuals with 0-1 years of experience. The role involves designing, executing, and validating software functionality to ensure high-quality releases and contribute to the overall reliability of digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test cases.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects.
• Validate software functionality rigorously against specified requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality releases.
• Document test results accurately and thoroughly.
• Report and track bugs through their lifecycle.
• Participate in review meetings to discuss test strategies and outcomes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards.
• Maintain a strong understanding of project objectives and system architecture to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or a related technical field.
• Foundational understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Ability to design and execute test cases effectively.
• Familiarity with concepts of manual and automated testing.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working within a team environment.
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation of test results and bug tracking.
• Exposure to or interest in Agile Scrum methodologies.

Technical Environment and Focus Areas

The Quality Assurance team at Technology Track operates within an Agile Scrum environment, fostering close collaboration across Product, Development, and DevOps teams. While specific advanced experience is not required for this entry-level role, candidates will be exposed to and contribute to systems that may involve API Testing, Real-Time Data Validation, and IoT ecosystems. An understanding of distributed and microservices-based systems is beneficial for growth within the company.
