About the Solution Architect Senior Manager GCC Lead Role

Visa, a global leader in payments technology, is seeking a Solution Architect Senior Manager GCC Lead to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is instrumental in developing and executing Visa's strategy for government payments, a key pillar for capturing new transaction flows. The role involves leveraging expertise to create comprehensive government solutions and prioritizing markets for specialized sales team enablement.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with dedicated VGS sales teams to support pre-sales engagements with key distribution partners, including issuers, enablers, and service providers, to understand government needs, priorities, and use cases.
  • Ideate and co-create innovative capabilities and features with digital partners, integrating Visa and partner capabilities to test new use cases and product features using a digital-first mindset and contemporary product management techniques.
  • Support the integration of government technology needs and partnership requirements into Visa's technology requirements for prioritization and scoping.
  • Develop integrated solutions leveraging Visa's digital technologies, including VisaNet, CyberSource, Visa Secure, Tokenisation, Click to Pay, Visa Risk Manager, and Visa Developer Consumer Control APIs.
  • Provide thought leadership on government payment processing options, blending Visa and partner capabilities with broad government agendas and national payment infrastructures.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Visa's capabilities, national payment infrastructures, and general payment trends to holistically design new offerings and their implementation implications.
  • Work closely with business partners across Risk, Client Services, Legal, Privacy, and Government Engagement for the introduction of new solutions.
  • Ensure Visa solution delivery documentation is fit for purpose for government clients and collaborate with internal solution owners to address any gaps.
  • Liaise with product owners within global and regional Visa teams to influence product development and timing based on government needs.
  • Prepare and manage dashboards to track ongoing projects and ensure delivery and revenue realization of signed deals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of work experience, or an Advanced Degree (*, Masters/MBA/JD/MD) with at least 6 years of work experience, or a PhD with at least 4 years of work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of solution architecture experience in companies serving governments.
  • Ideal candidates will possess technology and pre-sales experience in one or more of the following industries: retail banking, payments, technology, or consulting.
  • Proven ability to translate client needs into product requirements by adapting existing products and solutions.
  • High competence in RESTful APIs, various architecture patterns, API and SDK integration, mobile/web application development, RTP payment architecture, and Open Banking exposure.
  • Experience with design thinking product development methodology.
  • Experience in business development or partnership development within the payments industry is considered a plus.
  • Strong client and executive-facing communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Proven ability to work on complex and ambiguous problems to drive results.
  • A mindset that embraces creativity, optimism, ambiguity, and rapid learning.
  • A strong product orientation.
  • Fluency in the Arabic language is mandatory for this position.

Work Environment and Type

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Riyadh. Specific expectations for days in the office will be confirmed by the hiring manager, with a requirement of at least 3 days in the office.
