Job Description
About the Specialist Physician Role
This full-time position for a Specialist Physician is based in Riyadh. The role focuses on leading and supervising the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care. The Specialist Physician is responsible for the effective diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients under their care, serving as a model of clinical excellence and providing leadership and training to junior medical staff.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Effectively and efficiently diagnose, manage, and treat all patients under care.
- Provide leadership and training for junior medical staff.
- Hold daily clinics.
- Undertake on-call duties outside of scheduled working hours.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Clinical Practice and Patient Management
- Maintain general accountability for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of general health problems.
- Deliver rehabilitation services, providing holistic care based on best evidence medicine practice.
- Direct nurses in preoperative and postoperative care procedures, including administering sedatives, prescribing diets, and preparing operative areas.
- Examine patients, determine required diagnostic tests (*, x-rays, clinical laboratory tests), and interpret results to inform diagnosis.
- Administer and prescribe conservative treatment measures, such as antibiotics, drugs, and compresses.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and families.
- Monitor patient condition and progress, re-evaluating treatments as necessary.
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, including medical history and examination results.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when required.
Operational and Administrative Duties
- Support, implement, and adhere to departmental and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation in the Medical Record to accurately reflect patient diagnosis and treatment, supporting good clinical practice and accurate billing.
Quality and Safety Commitment
- Contribute to leading quality improvement initiatives within the Department.
- Facilitate effective cross-functional communication to optimize patient care.
- Support a culture of regular audit and encourage the use of audit results for clinical practice improvement.
- Assist in the reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidents.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position located in Riyadh. The role requires adherence to hospital policies and procedures, contributing to a safe and efficient healthcare environment.

- Requires 5-10 Years experience
