About the Role

alfanar is seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves creating visually appealing and effective designs that convey specific messages or concepts. The designer will develop layouts, select appropriate colors and fonts, and utilize design software to produce various visual materials that align with the company's brand identity and communication goals.

Key Design and Production Responsibilities

• Conceptualize ideas and craft designs for print materials requested by various internal clients.
• Develop corporate identities for diverse purposes, from advertising campaigns to major publications.
• Define styles and techniques to achieve desired design outcomes that comply with production requirements.
• Conceive and assess design concepts, providing creative ideas and guidance to other designers, along with constructive feedback for improvement.
• Conduct meetings with clients or marketing managers to discuss job objectives and mandatory requirements, comprehending business needs to craft aligned concepts for the printing team.
• Execute designs or delegate artwork requisitions to designers as necessary, establishing delivery schedules for each task.
• Scrutinize work before printing to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
• Occasionally visit the printing press to supervise the quality of printed artworks.
• Assess suggestions from photographers regarding product photography.

Operational Accountabilities

• Train subordinates and form a team to ensure effective work completion, providing leadership, coaching, and direction in all aspects of their work.
• Delegate assignments to subordinates and ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide periodic reports detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
• Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities where possible for business process improvements.
• Comply with all related company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in graphic design.
• Proficiency in design software and tools relevant to graphic design.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement designs that align with brand identity and communication goals.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working within a team-oriented environment.
