The Opportunity: Structural Steel Design & Detailing Engineer

Namerah Co. for Steelworks is seeking a Structural Steel Design & Detailing Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This is a full-time role focused on the fabrication side of steel structures, requiring an understanding of both design principles and workshop construction processes. The position is not a design-office or site-supervision role for concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities

The Structural Steel Design & Detailing Engineer will be responsible for both design and fabrication/project support tasks:

• Design steel members, connections, base plates, and secondary steelwork.
• Build and run analysis models, checking results against project codes.
• Prepare design calculations and technical submissions for clients and consultants.
• Respond to client comments and clarifications regarding design and drawings.
• Review and approve shop drawings and erection drawings, coordinating with detailers.
• Prepare weight takeoffs and material lists.
• Support estimating and tender pricing for new Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
• Support QA/QC documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material traceability, and inspection records.
• Collaborate with the workshop team on fabrication tolerances and technical queries.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in structural steel design and detailing.
• Proven ability to perform real design work for steel structures.
• Understanding of fabrication processes and workshop requirements.
