About the Ambulance Services Supervisor Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Supervisor for its Ambulance Services section. This full-time position involves overseeing the operational aspects of emergency medical services provided to patients under the hospital's care, ensuring a high standard of patient care and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete operation of the Ambulance Services section, ensuring the proper level of patient care is maintained.
  • Collaborate with management to establish and implement appropriate policies, protocols, and operational performance standards for safe and high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure all ambulance equipment is properly maintained and operated.
  • Uphold and enforce safe work practices within the department.
  • Confirm that all necessary supplies and materials are readily available.
  • Be accountable for the safety and well-being of staff members, identifying and mitigating risks related to personnel, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Prepare call volume reports, requests for proposals, and project documentation as directed by management.
  • Assess emergency situations to determine the most effective course of action and appropriate protocols.
  • Enforce all hospital personnel policies and address disciplinary issues as required.
  • Participate in ongoing education, training, and development for self and team members.
  • Adhere to all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Master’s Degree, or 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within Ambulance Services, preferably at KFSH&RC, or equivalent experience in Emergency Health or related fields (Grade 11).
  • An average annual performance appraisal rating of at least for the past four years.
  • Completion of 100 cumulative hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME).
  • Current registration from the country of origin and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
  • Valid certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and PHTLS.

Essential Skills and Proficiencies

  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
