About the Engineering Supervisor Role

W Hotels, a brand within Marriott International, is seeking a dedicated Engineering Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, non-management position is based in the Financial District and is integral to the efficient operation of the hotel's facilities. The role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel equipment and systems, contributing to a safe and comfortable guest environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on all tools, appliances, and equipment.
  • Recommend the replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment as needed.
  • Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other measuring instruments.
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for essential services.
  • Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining an accurate inventory and purchase order log.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Enter and retrieve work-related information using computer systems.
  • Operate power lifts safely and efficiently.

  • Respond promptly to guest repair requests, ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.
  • Complete all required safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are consistently clean and professional.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team in achieving common goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required.
