About the Role

Fortinet is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves close collaboration with a sales representative, focusing on providing technical support throughout the sales cycle.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The primary mission of the Systems Engineer is to support the sales organization in all technical aspects, encompassing pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales activities. This role is crucial for driving technical engagement and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle with Enterprise customers, from initial RFIs through to RFPs & RFQs.
  • Manage projects and actively participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) in partnership with internal teams, customer teams, and commercial partners.
  • Understand and interpret customer technical requirements to develop solutions that exceed competitor offerings.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners, working closely with the assigned sales partner.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions, maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet's security capabilities.
  • Effectively position Fortinet solutions to customers through remote or in-person presentations, utilizing strong communication skills and technical presentation abilities (whiteboarding, technical papers, plans, discussions).
  • Manage time effectively when handling multiple deals simultaneously to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect technical information within the CRM (Salesforce).

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong aptitude for security technology, with specific knowledge in encryption and authentication. Additional understanding of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN is desirable. Experience in a pre-sales engineer role, managing the end-to-end technical aspects of deals, is required. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and their impact on key wins are also essential.

  • High aptitude for security technology, particularly encryption and authentication.
  • Previous or current experience in a pre-sales engineer role.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of customer relationship building and effective technical communication.
  • Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, ***, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.

Beneficial Skills and Knowledge

Further knowledge in areas such as network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN would be beneficial. CISSP accreditation is also considered an advantage.
