About the Role

Fortinet is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves close collaboration with sales representatives to provide technical support throughout the sales cycle.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will be the primary technical point of contact, supporting the sales organization in all technical aspects of pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales activities. This role requires leading the technical engagement with enterprise customers, from initial inquiries through to proposal stages (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs). You will manage project management and actively participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) in partnership with internal teams, customers, and commercial partners. A key responsibility is to understand customer technical requirements and architect solutions that meet or exceed competitor offerings.

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers and partners, working alongside sales representatives.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions, staying informed about the competitive landscape and emerging security threats.
  • Present Fortinet solutions effectively to customers, both remotely and in person, utilizing whiteboarding, technical documentation, and direct discussions.
  • Manage time efficiently to handle multiple concurrent deals while ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate technical information for all customers and prospects within the company's CRM system (Salesforce).

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong aptitude for security technology, with specific knowledge in encryption and authentication. Desirable knowledge includes network security principles, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN technologies. Previous or current experience as a pre-sales engineer, managing the end-to-end technical aspects of deals through to closure, is required. The role demands demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships through effective technical communication with diverse stakeholders.

  • High aptitude for security technology, particularly encryption and authentication.
  • Knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, ***, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and impact on key wins.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical information effectively.

Beneficial Accreditations

CISSP accreditation would be considered beneficial for this role.
