About the Role of T&C Protection Engineer

L & T Case Equipment Private Limited is seeking a T&C Protection Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role involves the testing and commissioning of facilities, equipment, and plants to ensure correct functionality and expected results. The engineer will be responsible for bringing products or systems to an optimal operational state, ensuring they meet client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing of Main Advanced Relays, backup relays, and Auxiliary relays, executing tasks individually for BSP projects.
• Operating various relay software applications.
• Operating secondary and primary current injection kits from various manufacturers.
• Reading and verifying protection schemes in the field.
• Identifying problems and shortcomings within existing systems.
• Making improvements and providing advice on operational procedures.
• Scheduling and coordinating work to meet tight deadlines.
• Coordinating testing and commissioning activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Providing advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation.
• Producing or assisting in the production of all test and commissioning documentation.
• Undertaking testing and commissioning activities within specified time and cost parameters in line with site requirements.
• Monitoring progress, recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment.
• Compiling all documentation for inclusion in the site test dossier.
• Ensuring the safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve necessary plant performance in accordance with project program requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated competence in testing various types of relays.
• Proficiency in operating relay software applications.
• Capability to operate secondary and primary current injection kits.
• Thorough knowledge of protection schemes for reading and field verification.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves working on BSP projects and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful testing and commissioning activities.
