TAVI GCC Therapy Leader

Overview of the Role

Abbott is seeking a TAVI GCC Therapy Leader to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for supporting business operations across the GCC region, specifically Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. The role focuses on driving commercial growth, market development, and strategic execution for the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) business.

Key Responsibilities

The TAVI GCC Therapy Leader will combine commercial leadership, clinical understanding, account management, and cross-functional coordination to achieve business objectives. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing the GCC TAVI commercial strategy to meet sales, market share, and profitability targets.
• Identifying growth opportunities and creating territory development plans across GCC countries.
• Driving procedure growth through strategic account planning and customer engagement.
• Monitoring competitive activities and implementing effective counterstrategies.
• Forecasting sales performance and managing business pipelines accurately.
• Partnering with healthcare institutions to expand TAVI program adoption.
• Supporting the development of new TAVI centers and enhancing utilization within existing centers.
• Identifying barriers to patient access and collaborating with stakeholders to improve referral pathways.
• Driving awareness of TAVI therapy among physicians, hospital administrators, and healthcare decision-makers.

Business Planning and Execution

This role involves strategic planning and execution to ensure sustained growth and market presence for TAVI therapy. Specific duties include:

• Developing annual business plans and quarterly growth initiatives.
• Tracking key performance indicators such as implants, center productivity, market penetration, and conversion rates.
• Executing strategic projects aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Leading tender preparation and commercial negotiations where required.

Clinical and Technical Support

The TAVI GCC Therapy Leader will also provide essential clinical and technical support, ensuring effective therapy adoption and physician understanding.

• Maintaining strong knowledge of TAVI technology, clinical evidence, and treatment guidelines.
• Supporting customer education initiatives and physician training programs.
• Participating in major TAVI cases and therapy-focused events as needed.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, demonstrating a strong background in commercial leadership and market development within the medical device or healthcare industry.
