About the Role

Nextpower is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join its operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to the company's regional growth strategies and requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience who is passionate about clean energy solutions and collaborative impact. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of customized solar tracker solutions.

Role Purpose

The Technical Sales Manager provides essential technical expertise throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from initial client engagement through to post-sales support. This role involves close collaboration with various internal departments, including Sales, Product Development, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality, to ensure seamless transitions and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise across the sales cycle, ensuring smooth transitions and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product Development, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality) to design and deliver customized solar tracker solutions.
  • Translate complex technical details into clear, compelling presentations, both verbal and written.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, proposals, brochures, and scopes of work.
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform sales strategies.
  • Assist with technical evaluations during negotiations and support pricing strategies.
  • Offer post-sale technical guidance and support to customers to ensure satisfaction.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy disciplines.
  • Strong grounding in solar tracker systems and utility-scale PV plant components.
  • Proven ability in technical sales or presales, with experience supporting multi-functional teams through complex deal processes.
  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and convey technical concepts effectively.
  • Highly organized with detail-oriented execution and experience managing multiple simultaneous projects under pressure.
  • Familiarity with CAD, tender/engineering specifications, cost estimations, and documentation workflows.
  • Strong consulting and problem-solving mindset, adept in consultative selling methods.

Preferred Background

  • Direct experience working with utility-scale solar projects or within the Middle East energy sector.
  • Exposure to regional procurement, construction, and project engineering contexts, particularly within Saudi Arabia.
