About the Role

Al-Futtaim is seeking a Transport and Service Supervisor for its Automotive Supply Chain operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to managing and optimizing vehicle logistics within the automotive yard, ensuring operational efficiency and timely service delivery.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Transport and Service Supervisor is responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and optimization of vehicle movement and servicing. This role is crucial for maintaining workflow efficiency, facilitating timely vehicle dispatch, and ensuring effective communication among the yard, suppliers, service providers, and customers. Key responsibilities include ensuring maximum fleet efficiency, supervising staff, controlling financial aspects such as trip allowances and fuel consumption, and achieving high customer service levels while adhering to safety and compliance standards within KSA.

Key Responsibilities

• Maximize the use of SAP in all day-to-day transport planning activities to maintain system integrity and exceed customer service level expectations.
• Ensure maximum fleet utilization and resource control by monitoring fleet availability and assigning vehicles based on priority, service requirements, or customer needs.
• Monitor fleet running costs and fuel consumption, identify areas requiring improvement, and develop plans to rectify shortfalls.
• Work in conjunction with the QA Team to reduce accidents and damage across the supply chain, with emphasis on road traffic accidents involving heavy vehicles.
• Carry out regular Toolbox Training with Heavy Vehicle (HV) Drivers to maintain high standards of vehicle handling and driving.
• Have a clear understanding of customer lead times and required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring execution meets or exceeds expectations.
• Measure monthly customer KPIs based on Service Level Agreements (SLA) to ensure standards are met and improvements are tracked.

Reporting and Financial Control

• Prepare monthly reports including Trip Allowance, Vehicle Offload, Overtime Allowance, Car Carrier Allowance, Payroll, and Petty Cash Reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of billing statements to the Transport Manager on a monthly basis.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in transport and service coordination or supervision, preferably within an automotive supply chain.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing SAP for transport planning and operational activities.
• Strong understanding of fleet management principles, resource optimization, and cost control measures.
• Knowledge of KSA safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to vehicle operations and road transport.
• Ability to prepare and analyze various operational and financial reports.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to the operational excellence of Al-Futtaim's Automotive Supply Chain.
