The Role
As the Electrical Technician, you will serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring efficient and safe running of all hotel plant, equipment, air-conditioning and other systems and to quickly respond to guest complaints, and emergency situations. As a member of the Engineering department, this role is responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Ensure guest safety and promptly resolve any guest issues to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Carry out tasks listed on the preventive maintenance schedule according to hotel plans.
  • Perform daily electrical meter readings in specified areas as directed by Shift Engineers.
  • Handle hotel-supplied tools with professionalism, maintaining and storing them correctly after each shift.
  • Thoroughly clean work areas upon task completion.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures while performing tasks.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication with the Shift Engineer.
  • Actively engage in the hotel's energy conservation programs.
  • Promote the use of environmentally friendly products in the workplace.
  • Propose cost-saving ideas, including those beyond the Engineering Department.
  • Fulfill any additional duties necessary to ensure operational smoothness.
