About the Payroll Manager Role

Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea, located in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Manager to join its finance team. This full-time position will oversee all payroll operations for the luxury hospitality properties, ensuring accurate and timely processing in full compliance with Saudi Arabian labor regulations. The role involves leading payroll initiatives, managing a team, and acting as a liaison between Human Resources, Finance, and operational departments.

Role Context and Company Overview

Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea is part of the Red Sea Project, a significant development in Saudi Arabia featuring two nature-focused resorts. The properties offer 361 rooms, multiple dining concepts, and spa facilities. Raffles The Red Sea is designed as a sanctuary of elegance and luxury, blending Raffles' service standards with Red Sea Global's sustainability ethos. The Payroll Manager will contribute to the smooth financial operations of these high-end hospitality establishments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees across multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabia labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee and supervise the payroll team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate employee payroll records and documentation.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and investigate discrepancies with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed payroll reports, analysis, and variance reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Process salary disbursements and manage payroll tax obligations.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
  • Stay current with changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
  • Implement and maintain payroll controls and audit procedures.
  • Utilize payroll systems and HRIS platforms to optimize operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. Experience in the pre-opening stages of a hospitality project is essential. A strong understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand alignment is required. The role also benefits from experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-opening phases.
