Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the Role

Edition is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure optimal service and guest satisfaction. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in staff management, operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration for optimum service delivery and guest needs fulfillment.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
• Execute opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning, and securing premises.
• Monitor storage areas for organization, adherence to FIFO principles, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories, stock management, and requisition necessary supplies.
• Oversee dining rooms to ensure seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and well-being.
• Submit work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed.

Leadership and Team Development

• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and initial contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team goals, actively listening and responding to employee concerns.

Operational Standards and Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure professional appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with all individuals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
