Role Summary

The Buggy Technician is responsible for responding to and resolving guest repair requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the operational readiness of equipment. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves maintaining high standards of service and safety within The Ritz-Carlton environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for proper function.
• Transport necessary equipment, such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment.
• Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Record information for unfinished calls before shift changes.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation to guests.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant technical or maintenance role.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as described in the responsibilities.
• Commitment to following safety and security policies.
• Strong communication skills for guest and team interactions.
