About the Role

Tanmiah Food Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and manage the daily operations of its maintenance department. This full-time role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of facilities and equipment, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading a team of maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Train maintenance department staff and organize their schedules and work.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
• Evaluate systems and facilities to determine necessary maintenance or repairs.
• Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Assist with departmental budget estimates and cost analysis for specific repairs and projects.
• Interpret targets and break them down into objectives for each shift.
• Plan alterations regarding process/workflow and changes to equipment.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are conducted.
• Control all assets, including motors, forklifts, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor outsourced work performed by contractors on site, ensuring compliance with site rules regarding PPE, GMP, HACCP, and Safety.
• Maintain site and plant hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP/GMP and Health and Safety processes and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and neat work environment.
• Control the site technical budget and meet targets on fixed costs (Repairs & Maintenance).
• Provide clear communication, guidelines, and targets to the team.
• Maintain discipline and compliance with general rules, requesting disciplinary action when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Team Leadership and Compliance

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to operational objectives and company policies. This includes fostering a disciplined work environment and ensuring all team members and contractors comply with established safety, hygiene, and quality standards such as PPE, GMP, and HACCP.

Operational Oversight

This role involves comprehensive oversight of maintenance activities, from planning and scheduling to execution and evaluation. The supervisor will ensure that all maintenance and repair tasks are completed efficiently, correctly, and within budgetary constraints, contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of the facilities.

Financial and Asset Management

A key aspect of this position is the management of the technical budget and control over fixed costs related to repairs and maintenance. The supervisor will also be responsible for the control and tracking of all company assets, including machinery, vehicles, and tools, ensuring their proper use and maintenance.
