About the Peer Reviewer Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking experienced professionals to serve as Peer Reviewers for Food Science & Technology publications. This is a long-term, stable, part-time position that supports remote work. The role is based in Saudi Arabia and requires a commitment of 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Core Responsibilities

As a Peer Reviewer, your primary responsibility is to critically evaluate submitted manuscripts to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific rigor of published research. This involves a thorough assessment of various aspects of the manuscript to provide constructive feedback to authors and editors.

• Evaluate the novelty and originality of the research, determining its contribution to the field of Food Science & Technology.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methodologies employed.
• Ensure the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant and up-to-date literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results and the validity of conclusions drawn from the data.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential ethical concerns.
• Make a recommendation regarding the publication status of the manuscript (accept, revise, or reject) to the journal editor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a strong academic background and a proven track record in research and publication. The position requires a deep understanding of scientific principles and ethical standards within the field.

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Food Science & Technology or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience in the field.
• A publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles relevant to the discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
