About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time PHD Peer Reviewer with expertise in Instruments & Instrumentation to support its operations in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position that allows for remote work. Applicants are requested to carefully review the requirements and complete the application form accurately.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct thorough peer reviews of manuscripts submitted for publication. This involves evaluating the originality and contribution of the research to the field, assessing the appropriateness and clarity of study designs and methodologies, and ensuring the literature review is comprehensive and up-to-date. Reviewers will analyze the presentation and significance of results and conclusions, providing constructive feedback to authors and editors. The ultimate recommendation for publication, revision, or rejection will be based on this evaluation.

  • Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies.
  • Ensure thorough incorporation and citation of relevant, up-to-date literature.
  • Analyze the clarity and appropriateness of results and conclusions, and their significance to the field.
  • Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback, highlighting any flaws or ethical concerns.
  • Make recommendations regarding manuscript publication status.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Doctorate (PhD) or an equivalent advanced degree in the relevant subject area. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience is required. A strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline is essential. Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable. Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is also beneficial.

  • Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Instruments & Instrumentation.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
  • Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
  • Prior peer review experience is highly desirable.
