Senior Planning Manager

About the Role

JASARA PMC is seeking a Senior Planning Manager specializing in Stadium and Arena projects. This full-time role is part of the Program Management team and focuses on overseeing planning and scheduling activities for stadium and arena developments, particularly those aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiatives. The successful candidate will manage complex project schedules, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, identify potential risks, and ensure timely delivery in line with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the team in all aspects of planning, cost, resourcing, and risk management.
• Manage team deliverables by setting individual objectives, overseeing performance, and fostering team development.
• Support the Project Management function in delivery and tender processes, ensuring timely and profitable outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to the schedule management plan, planning processes, and established workflows.
• Improve the quality of services provided to project teams and enhance schedule presentation, information, and documentation.
• Assess impacts of design/construction changes and schedule slippages, collaborating with the team to provide solutions.
• Lead communication and collaboration with other teams and manage integration plans with stakeholders and key interfaces.
• Review project progress tracking and reporting, communicating updates to stakeholders, Senior Management, and the Board.
• Lead strategic planning exercises with the wider team and assess inputs for setting up processes and procedures.
• Validate baseline and target schedules before submission and manage planning and scheduling of personal work to meet timelines.
• Lead weekly and monthly schedule updates as design and construction work progresses.
• Coordinate with the commercial function to implement an effective controls system covering budget, cost, reporting, risk, and change management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale venue construction planning.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in project delivery with strong technical and commercial working knowledge.
• Significant experience in the development, implementation, and management of business systems, including policies and procedures relevant to the role and across projects.
• Recognized discipline/industry presence valued by peers as an authority capable of solving technical problems and ensuring high assurance on project deliverables.
