About the Role

Nahdi Medical Company is seeking a committed and qualified Orthopedic Surgeon to join its team in Abha, Asir, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role presents an opportunity to contribute to patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of bone injuries and diseases.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and accurately document all findings.
  • Design and implement comprehensive patient care plans tailored to meet their individual needs.
  • Educate patients thoroughly about their health conditions, necessary examinations, available treatment options, and the correct use of medications.
  • Provide guidance to patients on health promotion strategies and prevention of diseases related to their bone health.
  • Order and review diagnostic examination results for patients.
  • Prescribe medications to patients as clinically indicated.
  • Fulfill all responsibilities related to the accurate maintenance of patient records.
  • Strictly adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) policies and procedures, internal regulations, strategic plan, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain the mission, vision, goals, and guiding principles of Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) practice in all professional activities.
  • Actively participate in all Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) committees and work teams to which you are assigned.
  • Comply with the care standards set by the Council of Cooperative Health Services (CBAHI).
  • Establish effective and collaborative working relationships with other departments within Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC), external agencies, suppliers, patients, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete all required fire safety training and requirements.
  • Comply with the clinical and organizational structure standards of the department, including attendance requirements.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and program evaluation activities, considering measures to ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations, Ministry of Health (MOH), and CBAHI quality standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous professional development of all junior staff members.
  • Maintain an evidence-based approach to patient care.
  • Integrate population factors such as heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care strategies.
  • Develop, participate in, and support an active Continuing Medical Education (CME) program for the department or clinical area, as directed by the Head of Department, which may include rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs.
  • Perform specific orthopedic duties based on training, experience, and skills, and in accordance with Saudi Health Council guidelines.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the specialty and within the scope of your clinical privileges.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from a recognized university.
  • Master's degree in a relevant Orthopedic Surgery specialty from a recognized university, or an accredited fellowship from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience after completing the Master's degree, or eligibility to sit for the Board examination in the specialty.
  • Valid license as a specialist in the relevant Orthopedic Surgery specialty from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in using Office software and health information systems.
  • Fluent speaking and writing skills in both English and Arabic.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is a full-time position requiring 100% indoor work. The schedule includes 6 working days per week with one day off, and 8 net working hours per day, according to the shift schedule approved by the Head of Department.
