Role Summary: Instrument Technician

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking an Instrument Technician to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the reliability and availability of Instrument assets, which are essential for maintaining continuous operation of Process Units. The position involves leading and coordinating maintenance technician teams to ensure compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficient breakdown maintenance on Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities.

Core Purpose of the Role

The primary objective of this role is to lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of maintenance technician teams. This includes focusing on strict adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and executing efficient breakdown maintenance across all Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities within the designated operational area, while applying best and safe maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate maintenance technician teams, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficient breakdown maintenance for Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Oversee the execution of monthly and weekly maintenance plans, controlling progress and submitting regular reports.
  • Provide onsite maintenance and repairs for various Instrument types, including generators, transformers, and motors.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities strictly comply with established standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendations, and contract terms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the daily Instrument maintenance execution plan.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to ensure proper execution of work and monitor the activities of technicians engaged in routine maintenance.
  • Follow up on Instrument maintenance work progress, submitting regular reports and recommendations to the Instrument foreman.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily maintenance works against planned programs and prepare work completion reports as applicable.
  • Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by making recommendations to increase the suitability and serviceability of Instrument systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas maintenance.
  • Possession of a Diploma qualification.
  • Must be a Saudi National.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally and reside in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a dedicated commitment to maintaining critical Instrument assets within an operational environment.
