About the Solutions Operation Section Head Role
Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities Services Company is seeking a Solutions Operation Section Head to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for managing and optimizing smart city solutions, ensuring their seamless operation from planning through to continuous improvement. The role supports the development and deployment of integrated solutions utilizing advanced technologies to enhance urban living and services.
This position is with RQEEM Company, a subsidiary of JABEEN Company. The Solutions Operation Section Head will translate business and client requirements into operational and technical specifications, ensuring smart city solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and meet evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage smart city solutions throughout their lifecycle, including planning, implementation, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of integrated solutions covering connectivity, IoT, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, decision support systems, enterprise applications, and collaboration services.
- Collaborate with technical delivery, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams for successful solution deployment.
- Ensure smart city solutions are designed for scalability, security, and reliability, aligning with client requirements.
- Translate complex business and client requirements into clear operational and technical solution specifications.
- Support the evaluation of smart city technologies, platforms, vendors, and service models.
- Oversee post-delivery operations and managed services for deployed smart city solutions.
- Ensure high availability, service continuity, and effective performance monitoring of all smart city solutions.
- Lead service reviews, operational follow-ups, and conduct performance discussions with relevant teams.
- Monitor infrastructure, application, platform, and service performance to identify potential issues.
- Ensure smooth transition of solutions from project delivery to operational management.
- Coordinate with delivery teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Define, implement, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Track solution performance, service availability, incident trends, and customer satisfaction indicators.
- Develop dashboards and service reports for management visibility and decision-making.
- Identify operational gaps, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement within smart city services.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks, cybersecurity requirements, and client obligations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across smart city services and managed operations.
- Act as a key interface for clients and internal stakeholders regarding smart city solution performance and service matters.
- Manage client escalations, major incidents, and coordinate service restoration efforts.
- Collaborate with account managers and business teams to support client satisfaction and service growth.
- Collect and analyze client feedback to enhance solution quality and service experience.
- Support client discussions, solution presentations, and post-delivery improvement plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across business, technical, and operational teams.
- Manage resource planning across smart city solution lines and operational services.
- Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and vendors for effective service delivery.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to scope, SLAs, and delivery commitments.
- Support capacity planning, workforce planning, and service readiness activities.
- Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational handover for deployed solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Telecom, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in ICT, smart city solutions, managed services, telecommunications, infrastructure, or digital transformation.
- Proven experience in managing smart city platforms, ICT solutions, service operations, or critical digital infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with connectivity, IoT, cloud services, enterprise applications, command-and-control systems, decision support systems, or digital platforms.
- Strong experience in SLA management, KPI monitoring, incident management, escalation management, and service reporting.
- Experience working effectively with clients, vendors, technology partners, and cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience within government, municipal, industrial city, telecom, or large-scale infrastructure environments is preferred.
