About the Transport Coordinator Role
Almarai Company is seeking a Transport Coordinator to join its operations in Al-Kharj. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience looking to contribute to a leading food and beverage company in the MENA region. Almarai, founded in 1977, is the world’s largest vertically integrated dairy company and a market leader across various food and beverage categories.
Role Purpose and Context
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of fresh, UHT, and food products from the operating hub. The Transport Coordinator will play a key part in achieving departmental objectives by managing daily and weekly dispatch plans and ensuring deliveries reach their correct destinations with appropriate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate transport plans with the Sales department to ensure timely delivery of goods to depots, optimizing refrigerated vehicle utilization within approved weight limits.
- Oversee yard operations to ensure all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Transport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Verify accurate documentation, ensure driver compliance with requirements, and confirm correct product dispatch to depots within agreed delivery timelines.
- Promote safe transport operations and support the achievement of annual safety and accident reduction targets.
- Monitor transport activities to ensure full adherence to Transport SOPs and escalate any process gaps or improvement opportunities to management.
- Supervise transport staff to ensure operational objectives are met and operational issues are addressed promptly.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping across hub accommodation facilities, ensuring compliance with established hygiene requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- English Fluency.
- Recognized computer qualification or High School Graduate.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Al-Kharj. The role operates within Almarai's extensive network, contributing to the company's mission of providing nutritious and healthy products across the GCC, Egypt, and Jordan.
