About the Accounting Associate Role

Wisayah Investment Company is seeking an Accounting Associate to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in accounting and involves supporting the finance department in various operational and reporting capacities.

Core Responsibilities

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing and maintenance of accounts payable transactions and bank payments. This role is crucial in supporting the preparation of periodic financial statements and the annual corporate report, ensuring all financial reporting adheres to IFRS and other applicable accounting standards.

  • Process and maintain accounts payable transactions and bank payments.
  • Support the preparation of periodic financial statements and the annual corporate report.
  • Ensure financial reporting compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards.
  • Assist external auditors with required schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
  • Review departmental budget submissions and support business units in annual budget preparation.
  • Coordinate and support the preparation of Zakat & Tax filings, including VAT, CIT, WHT, and Transfer Pricing compliance.
  • Manage tax filings and ensure timely submission of all tax obligations.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all financial operations.
  • Perform financial reconciliations and provide forecasting support.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and support treasury activities.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis.
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strengthen internal controls and identify financial risks with mitigation recommendations.
  • Contribute to improvements in ERP/accounting systems and automation initiatives.

Key Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience. A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, particularly IFRS, is essential. Experience with Zakat & Tax compliance, including VAT, CIT, and WHT, is required.

Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in processing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and managing tax-related documentation. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify process improvements are also important. Familiarity with ERP systems and financial modeling will be beneficial.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a professional finance department environment.
