Al-Dawaa Medical Services Co. (صيدليات الدواء) is seeking an E-commerce Category Specialist to join its team in Al Khobar. This full-time role is integral to managing global product categories on e-commerce platforms, supporting the company's international expansion initiatives.

Role Overview

The E-commerce Category Specialist is responsible for overseeing global product categories, ensuring compliance with international brand standards, and optimizing category performance across various e-commerce platforms. This position involves strategic planning, vendor management, and data-driven decision-making to enhance the company's online presence and reach.

Global Category Operations and Merchandising

  • Manage the daily performance of global product categories on e-commerce platforms.
  • Ensure product listings, descriptions, pricing, and visuals comply with international brand and content standards.
  • Monitor global assortment gaps and recommend new products or brands to strengthen category performance.
  • Track competitor activity across international marketplaces to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Sourcing, Vendor Relations, and Assortment Planning

  • Help identify, qualify, and onboard international suppliers and distributors aligned with the company’s sourcing strategy.
  • Support supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, and commercial terms under guidance from Procurement Management.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant supplier data, ensuring adherence to import, quality, and documentation requirements.
  • Foster productive relationships with vendors to secure exclusivity, innovation access, and supply reliability.
  • Support the development of global assortments aligned with consumer trends, demand insights, and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with planning and supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory and availability for international products.
  • Contribute to the category calendar and new product introduction (NPI) pipeline for Beyond Borders initiatives.

Pricing, Promotion, and Content Coordination

  • Execute global pricing and promotional strategies in alignment with corporate and market objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-border campaigns and ensure content localization.
  • Monitor pricing competitiveness and profitability across international markets.

Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and report on category sales, share, inventory performance, and vendor contribution.
  • Analyze sourcing cost structures and profitability of international categories.
  • Provide insights to management for decision-making and category optimization.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this full-time position are expected to have 2-5 years of experience in e-commerce category management or a related field. The role requires a professional capable of managing global product categories and contributing to international expansion efforts effectively.
