The Hostess Role

The Hostess serves as the initial point of contact for guests, playing a vital role in setting a welcoming and organized tone for their dining experience. This position involves managing guest flow, handling reservations, and providing attentive service from arrival through seating, ensuring a smooth operation within the restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival at the restaurant.
• Efficiently manage reservations and seat guests according to established procedures.
• Present menus to guests and inform them of daily specials or promotions.
• Receive and securely store guests' coats and personal belongings as needed.
• Monitor the flow of the dining area and coordinate effectively with the waiting staff to optimize service.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with inquiries and reservation requests.
• Address guest complaints and special requests in a professional and timely manner.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Hostess or in a similar customer-facing role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
• A strong customer-focused mentality coupled with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
