Job Purpose:
The job holder is responsible for supervising and developing maintenance activities, including electrical and instrumentation & control maintenance, to ensure the proper functioning of the transmission system and avoid operational failure or interruption.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Electrical and Instrumentation & Control systems, practices, cost optimization, and productivity & efficiency improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTCO and related functions.
  • Escalate problems to ensure cases/issues are closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Ensure the execution of electrical and instrumentation & control maintenance activities and implement daily schedules and reschedule any missed or extra activity as applicable.
  • Conduct spot checks to ensure overall electrical and instrumentation & control activities are in line with plans, guidelines, and budget.
  • Monitor progress and decide on applicable corrective actions and related instructions.
  • Coordinate with O&M parts and material management teams regarding maintenance materials.
  • Diagnose and report malfunctions, decide on applicable corrective maintenance, and send reports for review.
  • Supervise inspections and monitoring rounds to ensure timely maintenance execution.
  • Record inspection results and support in assessing possible corrective actions.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions on new equipment operating manuals.
  • Analyze maintenance faults and failures to improve performance.
  • Supervise coordination with outsourced maintenance agencies.
  • Provide input for vendor performance evaluation based on service logs.
  • Prepare periodic maintenance reports to evaluate equipment performance.
  • Support feasibility studies for the continued operation of existing systems and propose any improvements.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Follow-up: Monitor the implementation of management action plans to ensure that identified risks are mitigated within agreed timelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Certification: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is a plus. Additional certifications (CISA, CRMA, or CPA) are highly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in internal or external auditing, preferably with a background in 'Big 4' firms or large diversified conglomerates.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards and local regulatory requirements (*, SOCPA or specific industry mandates).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, advanced negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.
