About the Manufacturing Engineer Role

Manpower Middle East is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer for a full-time position with a major Oil & Gas company located in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to manufacturing excellence within a leading industry player.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage change actions and the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment.
• Conduct sales order reviews to ensure manufacturability and resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain process maps to visualize and optimize production flows.
• Update manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings to reflect current production needs.
• Design and manage fixtures required for manufacturing processes.
• Handle Quality Notifications and rework processes, ensuring timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Implement key elements of Lean manufacturing, including standardized work instructions, line balancing, layout optimization, and training development matrices.
• Utilize Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify and eliminate waste in production processes.
• Lead and participate in Kaizen and 5S workouts to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
• Develop and implement pull processes and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
• Optimize cell design and implement quick changeover/batch-size optimization techniques.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing manufacturing processes.
• Implement process improvements to achieve manufacturing excellence, focusing on process yield (*, First Pass Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield), cycle time reduction, and productivity gains.
• Make make-or-buy decisions for machining activities and select appropriate tooling.
• Design fixtures to support machining operations and provide feedback to programmers to improve machining efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) teams, utilizing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Review and sign off on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) that impact inventory, including product life cycle issues and obsolescence.
• Create, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to manufacturing process capability and product quality.
• Monitor and reduce process costs effectively.
• Ensure quality standards are met and conduct risk assessments, supporting First Article Inspection processes.
• Ensure manufacturing technology solutions achieve required quality levels, reliability, and consistency.
• Assist with the investigation of manufacturing quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of mandatory hands-on manufacturing engineering and engineering drawing experience.
• Certification and project experience in Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with SAP and Demand Planning.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with machining centers.
• Basic knowledge and skills in tooling and programming.
• Understanding of Production Workflow principles.
• Experience in Non-Conformance Management.
• Proven experience in Technical Investigation.
• Familiarity with Production Test and Assembly processes.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in change action, new product development introduction, sales order review, process mapping, manufacturing Bill of Material updates, routings, fixtures, quality notification/rework, and troubleshooting.
• Preferable experience in Oil & Gas (O&G) manufacturing tools and processes.
• Preferable experience in machining processes, tooling, and CNC programming.
