About the Role

Duruper is seeking a qualified Mechanical Inspector (QM) to join their team supporting OCA Global. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, and is essential for ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical installations and equipment within projects. The Mechanical Inspector will conduct thorough inspections of mechanical equipment, piping, welding, and pressure-containing components, requiring a strong understanding of international codes, project specifications, and Saudi Aramco standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of mechanical commodities including pipes, fittings, valves, structural steel, fasteners, boilers, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
  • Review and verify compliance with applicable international codes such as ASME Sections I, V, VIII, IX; ASME ******; API 620/650; AWS *; and NACE requirements.
  • Conduct detailed welding inspections, including verification of WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, visual inspection (VT), and coordination of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Film Interpretation (RTFI).
  • Ensure strict adherence to Saudi Aramco Specifications & Standards and relevant industry best practices.
  • Inspect the fabrication, installation, testing, and final completion of all mechanical systems.
  • Verify the accuracy of material certificates, Positive Material Identification (PMI) results, and all associated documentation for mechanical components.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate inspection reports, Quality Control (QC) records, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring that corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Coordinate closely with project teams, contractors, and quality managers to efficiently resolve technical and quality-related issues.
  • Support audits and surveillance activities, providing essential technical input on all quality matters.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (** or Bachelor of Technology (***** degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with a minimum of 6 years of inspection experience. Alternatively, a 3-year Diploma with 8+ years of relevant inspection experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of International Codes & Standards and Saudi Aramco Specifications & Standards.
  • Must be a Saudi Aramco-approved inspector or have successfully passed the Saudi Aramco Computer-Based Test (CBT) Exam and Interview.
  • Hold internationally recognized inspection certifications, including but not limited to: API SIFE, API 653, API 570, API 510.
  • Possess ASME certifications for Pressure Vessels, Boilers, and Heat Exchangers.
  • Hold ASNT Level II certification in MT, PT, UT, VT, and RTFI.
  • Be a Certified Welding Inspector, holding either AWS CWI or CSWIP / certification.
  • Demonstrate proven working knowledge of mechanical inspection requirements, testing equipment, and PMI instruments.
  • Must hold the required Quality Management (QM) certifications: QM-03, QM-05, QM-07, QM-30, QM-31, QM-34, QM-35, QM-37, QM-68.
