The Role of Security Guard VEM

Viasat is seeking a vigilant and attentive Security Guard VEM to ensure the comprehensive protection of its property in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, managing access, and responding to incidents. The successful candidate will be alert, professional, and proactive in preventing inappropriate actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols, either by walking or driving, within the assigned area to inspect doors, windows, and gates.
• Manage access control by verifying ID badges, greeting visitors, and preventing unauthorized individuals from entering the premises.
• Monitor CCTV screens and alarm systems to detect and identify unusual or illicit behavior.
• Initiate prompt action during emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or criminal activities, and contact police or ambulance services as required.
• Prepare clear and concise reports detailing daily events, accidents, or property damage.

Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Possession of a valid local security license or guard card.
• Demonstrated physical fitness, including the ability to stand or walk for extended periods and maintain high levels of alertness.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with individuals and produce accurate reports.
• Proven ability to remain calm and make informed decisions under pressure during emergency situations.

Preferred Skills

• Basic first aid skills are considered an advantage for this role.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position located in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. Compensation for the Security Guard VEM role includes a base pay, supplemented by cash and stock incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
