Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Sales Representative, Capital Equipment, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling Medtronic's capital equipment and services within a designated territory. You will be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with healthcare professionals and distributors, ensuring optimal utilization of Medtronic's solutions, and contributing to the company's sales objectives.

Key Tasks

  • Promote and sell Medtronic products and services within a defined geographic territory and/or customer accounts to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop, build, and enhance long-term relationships with stakeholders, including distributors and healthcare professionals.
  • Follow up on leads, assess their needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
  • Promote and provide education on the company's products and/or services.
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders, including R&D, Operations, and Marketing, customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications.
  • Find various and innovative solutions that align with market dynamics by conducting hybrid interaction models, including virtual and/or physical communications, to meet the needs of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and market demands.
  • Support the sales team within a designated territory in new equipment installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Manage the preparation of demonstration inventory and conduct customer service training.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; preference given to candidates with a background in medical, clinical, biomedical engineering, or related life sciences fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of specific experience in capital equipment sales is essential.
  • An additional 2 years of experience in clinical sales, medical device sales, or healthcare sales is required.
  • Strong preference for experience in neurosurgery, spine, navigation, Operating Room (OR), or related clinical environments.
  • A strong understanding of clinical workflows and hospital environments is essential.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to provide on-site customer support and training.
  • Possess a professional demeanor with the ability to effectively engage with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
